Our health is not a one-size-fits-all. It's a mixed bag.
Let’s look at what is in a mixed bag of health?
Water- some used tap only, some bottles, some filter their own
Foods- clean, fatty, sweet, sour, fried, fast food, home-cooked
Fitness- cardio, weights, bodyweight, walking, HIIT, yoga, hate working out
Bodywork- Naturopaths, Chiropractor, Massage Therapy, Physio, Energy work, Dieticians, Osteopaths
Sleep- How well do you sleep and stay asleep?
Hobbies- do you have any?
Happiness in relationships
Etc…etc…etc…
Look at what the 5 Basics encompass when it comes to living a NOURISHED LIFE:
Health encompasses many different areas. And as we can see we are moving into a multi-discipline health care system, much like those to the south of us and across the Atlantic. Our western way needs to open up and allow a little more eastern and preventative care. It is happening already but we have a ways to go.
Be open to trying new things as they may help you feel great! I will share a little story. I talked to someone about kimchi not knowing the benefits and if it would help me. I tried it and found it helped me digest better and I didn’t feel bloated and drained as my body worked harder to digest the meal. I would never have known unless I tried it myself. Now a teaspoon goes on every salad or in every rice bowl.
Just listen to the available resources out there and try the suggestions that create a spark within you. Do not just eat everything. That pork chop dinner you had last week that left you gasy and bloated… will leave you feeling that way again next week. I may be using “pork” as an example to save the pigs… but that’s a whole other story!
And it is not only food where you should listen to your body. You should listen to your body when you exercise too. Try different exercises to find what is challenging enough yet doesn’t totally deplete your energy for days to come.
Sleep, as I have talked about is a major component to feeling good and your body working well so it can recover from workouts and it is when the body repairs itself and just helps to keep you running more optimal.
Relationships. Family or friends. Surround yourself with those who make you laugh and encourage you. Tell the negative-Nancy’s you are busy. You don’t have time to be brought down.
Don’t be afraid to try new things… it's great to mix it up for the body and the mind!
If you like this…
If you have something to share…
Stay Nourished,

P.S- The way Sporty listens and pays attention is enough to lift me up, always! Not to mention she is my motivation to keep moving.
